Summary
Max, the young detective on this case, has been asked to find out what happened to the gambler who was found dead. The only person who suspects Jane is Jane, the gambler’s wife. Max is torn between his own beliefs about Jane’s innocence and the fact that she has committed murder. “Keep in mind — I am lying.”
