Summary
Grand Duke Gizel Zibedad rules over Oldenland, a land of eternal snow at the far edge of a distant continent.
With his cold demeanor, overwhelming magical prowess, and grotesque rumors suggesting he has monster’s blood, he is feared by all. However, few know the truth: Gizel’s only wish is for a peaceful life, spending his days in a quiet library with a warm cup of tea, immersed in magical research.
But his modest wish is shattered by an unexpected bride from Cornia, the southern tip of the continent.
Rensley Malrosen, the illegitimate son of Cornia, appears wearing the bridal wreath in place of his runaway sister, Princess Ivet Elvanes.
Though he initially hides for fear of being discovered, this cheerful and chatty knight—with sunny blonde hair fluttering behind him—soon roams every corner of the castle. He continually causes small uproars in the Ice Castle, a place that seemed destined for eternal silence.
Even though Gizel could have thrown him out immediately for this sham marriage, he finds himself unable to take his eyes off Rensley, who chatters away and smiles brightly at even the smallest kindness.
